name
Ugo Zaccagnini pair of table lamps
description
A pair Ugo Zaccagnini and sons Silver glazed ceramic lamps. These lamps where made by Urbano Zaccagnini, Ugo's eldest son. The have the exact same shape as the widely known globe lamps. As far as we know these lamps are the only two which are glazed with silver. Very important is that both lampfoots have their original lampshade. They need some work. (which I do myself) After that they will look perfectly again. Both lamps are marked with a capital Z with a squiggly line trough it. The squiggle represents Mont Oliveto (Mount Olive). It was Ugo's favorite Tuscan hillside. This way the children tributed their father in the new company's logo. This Logo (The capital "Z" with the squiggle) was used from 1937 to late the 1950s. These lamps where made between 1958 and 1960. Total height: about 60 cm.
