Art meets Design (Sold)
An absolute rare piece of art&design. Designed and made by a Dutch interior designer; Anke Kamerman. Initialy she designed this lamp for her own house which had high ceilings and needed high stand-alone floorlamps. Later on she made 9 pieces more. This lamp, which is called "Bamboo" has been exposed at gallery "Intermezzo" in Dordrecht, "Eckhardt" (Rob Eckhardt) and "Leeuwenstein architects". Designing this lamp she was inspired by a bamboo fishing-rod that she had found. The aluminium shade is (problably) refering to a corrugated iron roof that was on her house when she was living in Tanzania (6 months). Anke Kamerman not only designed lamps but also chairs, cabinets and mirrors. Most of her designs where made within the setting of a house on which she was working as interior designer. Nowadays Anke Kamerman only designs and works on appointment. Origin: Dutch. Year: early 1980's. Dimensions: Height: 210 cm.
