  Elmar Berkovich pendant lamp (Sold)
description
Absolute museum worthy piece designed by the wellknown Dutch furniture designer Elmar Berkovich. He specialy designed this lamp for the exclusive furniture store Metz & co in Amsterdam and The Hague. This modernist lamp came from a villa in Wassenaar, Holland. Wooden lamps of this kind are very hard to find and most of them are in the collections of musea. The lamp is made of multiplex wood, a welled metal frame and silk. The wooden parts are varnished with a black lacquer. This minimalist design is typical for the design of Elmar Berkovich from this decade. We have documentation from this lamp which is available on request. Year: 1937. Diameter: 75 cm. Origin: Dutch.
