  1930's sideboard (Sold)
description
Minimalistic and sober designed sideboard. Resembles the work of Gispen, Van Pelt and Alons ( All Dutch interior designers from the 1930's ). The sideboard is supported by a tubular metal frame. The handgrips on the two doors are simular to the supporting frame. This sideboard is designed in the, so called, "nieuwe zakelijkheid" manner. It is simular in construction to the Bauhaus but with less soberness. The key on the sideboard is original as is all of the sideboard. Looking to the sideboard in a more architectual way there are some traces left of the so called "Haagsche school" which was sober and well-balanced in furniture design in the early 20th century. All over a wonderfull asset to a minimalistic interior. Origin: Dutch. Year: 1930.
