  New rationalistic armchair by the Dutch furniturefactory F.A. Huizinga about 1910. The factory was called "Nederland". Furniture Factory "Nederland" designed and manufactured furniture in the sober, rationalistic (also called "new pragmatism design of the New Art , which was propagated by especially Hendrik Petrus Berlage and his compagnons. Important Dutch designers and architects that worked for the factory "Nederland" were Anton Johan Sanders (1869-1909) and Arnold Willem Kort (1881-1972). Occasionally Willem-Alexander Penaat and H.W. Mol made designs for Huizinga. In the 1920s Huizinga made pieces of furniture designed by the Groningse Art Association "De Ploeg" and the architect A.R. Wittop-Koning and in the 1930s design by Paul Bromberg.
