name
Early Dutch cabinet (Sold to Switserland)
description
Very rare and early Dutch Modernist cabinet. Special feature on this cabinet are the white ceramic (porcelain) handgrips. Because of the black background of the doors on which they are situated the grips are becoming more clearly pronounced. This cabinet is strongly influenced by the "De Stijl" movement and "Haagse school" furniture makers. Most likely an "in between". Its style, soberness and hard lines can be related to furniture companies as "LOV" and "UMS" which also where working with these style elements. This cabinet is fully Original. Dimensions: W x D x H = 112 x 33 x 93 cm. Origin: Dutch. Year: Early 1920's.
