Theo de Wit (Sold)
  Very rare floorstanding mirror made and designed by Theo de Wit. Fabulous designed tubular standard which holds de mirror in position. The mirror is attached to a wooden board. The side- and back of the board are originaly painted black. The mirror is great to look at from every position so it can be placed of the wall. There is a simular designed dressing table with round mirror known and in private ownership in Holland. This dressing table is displayed as picture six (6). Theo de Wit's designs nowadays are very hard to find and therefor became real collector items. This mirror has been restored with concerving its authenticity. Dimensions: H x W x D = 182 x 45 x 53 cm. The mirror glass itself is cut facet and is 6 mm (milimeter) in thickness. It is the original mirror glass. It has some wear in the glass but that's inherent to a mirror of this age. Origin: French. Year: early 1930's. Designer: Theo de Wit. The chair displayed on some pictures is a 1st edition W.H. Gispen chair type 108. This chair is made in Rotterdam and marked underneath the seating with a small metal "Gispen" mark. Year: 1933. The price of this chair: € 450 euro.
